{"id":198,"date":"2017-11-21T10:41:17","date_gmt":"2017-11-21T09:41:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.centri.univr.it\/invite\/?page_id=198"},"modified":"2018-01-19T19:28:46","modified_gmt":"2018-01-19T18:28:46","slug":"employment-conditions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.centri.univr.it\/invite\/the-call\/employment-conditions\/","title":{"rendered":"The employment conditions"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Contract and salary<\/h4>\n<div class=\"mceTemp\"><\/div>\n<p>The INVITE PhD students will be enrolled in the PhD programme starting in the Academic Year 2018\/2019 and they will be employed from 1<sup>st<\/sup> October 2018 to 30<sup>th<\/sup> September 2021, under a 36-month research contract, as defined by the Italian Law 240\/2010 Art. 22 (\u201cassegno di ricerca\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>This contract is tax exempt and includes all compulsory social security charges, insurance against work accidents, sickness coverage, maternity and parental leave. It is a temporary work contract introduced specifically for universities and research organisations, that includes retirement contributions.<\/p>\n<p>The salary will be paid on a monthly basis and is composed by the following components (gross amounts):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Living allowance: <\/strong>\u20ac2000\/month for 36 months;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mobility allowance<\/strong>: \u20ac600\/month for 36 months;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Family allowance<\/strong>: \u20ac150\/month for 36 months for students with family obligations at the deadline of the INVITE call for candidatures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The family allowance is reserved for applicants linked to another person by (i) marriage, or (ii) a relationship with equivalent status to a marriage recognised by the legislation of the country where this relationship was formalised, or (iii) dependent children who are actually being maintained by the candidate.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_240\" style=\"width: 950px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-240\" class=\"wp-image-240 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.centri.univr.it\/invite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/10-INVITE-employment-conditions-1024x683.png\" alt=\"A researcher at the University of Verona\" width=\"940\" height=\"627\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.centri.univr.it\/invite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/10-INVITE-employment-conditions-1024x683.png 1024w, https:\/\/sites.centri.univr.it\/invite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/10-INVITE-employment-conditions-600x400.png 600w, https:\/\/sites.centri.univr.it\/invite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/10-INVITE-employment-conditions-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/sites.centri.univr.it\/invite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/10-INVITE-employment-conditions-768x512.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 940px) 100vw, 940px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-240\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A researcher at the University of Verona<\/p><\/div>\n<h4>Assistance<\/h4>\n<p>The University of Verona, in cooperation with the International Students Services, assists the PhD students in the context of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>entry procedures (for EU and non-EU citizens),<\/li>\n<li>visas and residence permits (for non-EU citizens),<\/li>\n<li>accommodation,<\/li>\n<li>tax identification codes,<\/li>\n<li>healthcare insurance or registration in the Italian healthcare system,<\/li>\n<li>and the opening of an Italian bank account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Social benefits<\/h4>\n<p>As PhD students and research staff, the INVITE PhD students will benefit from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>access to the canteens of the University of Verona at a special discounted price;<\/li>\n<li>access to the kindergarten of the University of Verona for their children at a special discounted price;<\/li>\n<li>access to language courses organised by the Linguistic Centre of the University of Verona at a special discounted price;<\/li>\n<li>discounts for cultural events taking place in Verona,<\/li>\n<li>discounts for hardware and software for personal use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Contract and salary The INVITE PhD students will be enrolled in the PhD programme starting in the Academic Year 2018\/2019 and they will be employed from 1st October 2018 to 30th September 2021, under a 36-month research contract, as defined by the Italian Law 240\/2010 Art. 22 (\u201cassegno di ricerca\u201d).
