Save the date! On 4 December the second annual seminar of\nthe INVITE project is scheduled. The event will focus on \u201cBest practices to\nrecruit researchers. Sharing experiences on the Human Resources Strategy for\nResearchers\u201d .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme in short<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Second Annual Seminar of the INVITE project will take\nplace in Verona<\/strong> on 4th<\/sup> December 2019<\/strong>, from 9:30\nto 13:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maria Vittoria\nD’Inzeo<\/strong>, policy officer of the DG\nResearch & Innovation<\/strong>, will introduce us on the Human Resources\nStrategy for Researchers and the related EU policies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Politecnico di Torino<\/strong>\n(Chiara Biglia) and the University of\nTurin<\/strong> (Claudia Barale) will share their experience on this topic, while AlmaLaurea<\/strong> will offer an insight  on employment opportunities for the PhD\nresearchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2005, the European Commission adopted a European Charter for\nResearchers and a Code of Conduct for\nthe Recruitment of Researchers.<\/a><\/strong>\nBoth documents<\/a>\noutline the principles and requirements which should inspire the recruitment\nprocedure and the work conditions for researchers as well as and their activities.\nTheir recommendations are meant for the Member States, the research organisations,\nthe research funders, and the researchers too<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Human Resources Strategy for\nResearchers<\/a><\/strong> is the initiative if the European Commission to support\nresearch institutions and funding organisations in the implementation of the\nEuropean Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of\nResearchers  in their policies and\npractices. The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers aims at making  these institutions more attractive to\nresearchers looking for a new destination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The European Commission recognizes with the HR Excellence\nin Research Award <\/strong>the institutions which make progress in aligning their\nhuman resources policies to the 40 principles of the Charter & Code, based\non a customized action plan\/HR strategy.\nUp to now, 497<\/a> organisations<\/a> have received the HR Excellence in Research\naward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
