Ahmed Salih: Great opportunities to networking with researchers all over the world INVITE Blog / INVITE experience

I have started my study as PhD student since January 2019 as Maria Skłodowska-Curie fellow under the INVITE program at Computer science department/ University of Verona. Since then, I have been working under the supervision Prof. Gloria Menegaz on Imagine Genetic topic.

I have received unlimited support from my supervisor in both academic and personal issues. She also helped me and paved the road to work in different research groups. Moreover, Ilaria Boscolo who is a temporary assistant professor and as my co-supervisor at university of Verona had a priceless role and direct effects in my study by guiding to the right path. All the thank to my supervisors and Prof. Petia Radeva (co-supervisor) at University of Barcelona which invited me to spend my secondment. Prof Radeva provided the academic and scientific environment by engaging with different groups and enhancing the study progress.

During my study, I have sharpened my knowledge and academic skills in a wide range of research fields within my PhD framework. The INVITE program opened for us valuable opportunities to get in touch with the scientific and academic communities around the globe. It helped us to wide our network and communication with varieties of research groups in different institutions. For that matter, I got in touch and contribute to research activities at University of Barcelona/ Spain and Queen Marry University of London/ United Kingdom. Our outcomes were crowned by many papers presented and published in high conferences and journals. This will increase our chances to have a good position after finishing the program.

The INVITE program opened for us valuable opportunities to get in touch with the scientific and academic communities around the globe.
