PhD programme: Inflammation, Immunity and Cancer

Our PhD course is an interdisciplinary program, which has the purpose to prepare the students to understand the pathological processes and the molecular mechanisms underlying inflammation, immunity and cancer and to utilize the most updated methodologies, including cutting-edge technologies.
The main research lines cover biomedical disciplines such as general pathology, immunology, anatomopathology, oncology and oncological surgery.
Applications are invited in one of the following main areas of research:
- Mechanisms of inflammatory responses during autoimmune diseases, infection, tumor development and neurodegenerative disorders
- Role of cells and molecules of the innate immune system during health and disease
- Biological basis of cancer, emerging pathways and future targets for the molecular therapy of tumors
- Molecular pathogenesis, biomarkers, diagnostic and surgery management of pancreatic tumors.
